Grandma Z

To my dearest Grandma Zentner,

I can't believe you left us today.  I am going to miss you so very much.  I truly can't imagine a world without you in it.  My life will not be the same without you, and you will be truly missed.

Neither of us have ever really been the type to tell each other how we feel.  Especially me.  most of my life I have been the snot-nosed-kid who didn't know how to show appreciation or love for you.  I will regret that for the rest of my life.  I regret not ever telling you how amazing I think you were.  You went through so much in your life, and managed to do it all with dignity and respect.  I love you more than words can express, and I wish more than anything in the world I would have had the guts to tell you this when you were alive.  I know I am too late to tell you this in person, but maybe somehow, someway, you will receive this message so that I have the chance to finally tell you, from the bottom of my heart, that I love you, respect you, and can't imagine a world that you are not in.

I love you Grandma.  I hope you find happiness and peace wherever you are.

Girls Day Out

Walter has been working out of town for the last couple of weeks.  It is lonely at home without him, and Alexa and I tend to fall into a slump when he is gone.  It seems we watch movies and let the world carry on without us while he is gone.  Because of that, we decided we were going to have a girls day out.  We went to the Thanksgiving Point Gardens.  I had a BLAST with her.  She is such a fun person to be around.  It was really cool to see the world from her point of view.

Alexa thought it would be fun to pretend that we lived in a jungle and the gardens were our house.  We had lots of fun deciding what rooms were ours, what was the bathroom, etc.

Inside these arches was Alexa's Room...

This area was mine and Walt's room

This area was the bathroom.  There are A LOT of bathtubs in our bathroom. :)

This was our pool room--we also decided that we can push a button and beds appear in the pool area.  That way we can sleep in there when we want to relax by the pool. :)

This was the pond in our backyard.  Alexa LOVED the fish.  She was trying to get them to eat off of her stick (one actually bit!)

By the end of the gardens, Alexa was super tired....

We then stopped and had a bite to eat from "our kitchen".  The restaurant at the gardens was delicious.  Alexa and I had fun playing with the wikki sticks they give all the kids at the restaurant.

Alexa--you are my best friend.  I love ya girl!  I had so much fun with you.  I can't wait for our next adventure together!!
